While the world is facing turbulent times, it’s important to take time out and reconnect with the things that lift us up. Photography has been more than a profession for me. In my darkest times, picking up the camera has helped me be mindful of the amazing world around us. After ten years of working professionally and 7 years teaching before that, I am ready to stand beside you while you find your passion and grow your love of this amazing medium. I believe photography is more than just taking a photograph. It’s about conveying our perspectives, our stories and for documenting a moment in our lives.

Perhaps you’ve been contemplating photography for some time, but have never taken the first step? Maybe you’ve been asked to work from home, self quarantine or you’re struggling with anxiety? This 4 week course is designed to give you a little sliver of time each day to enjoy your surrounds, find gratitude within your own space and enrich your knowledge of one of the most popular hobbies in the world. You never know, you may even brighten someone else’s day with your new skills!

With fun challenges and interesting tips delivered to you via short and sharp videos, you will be learning via a closed, private Facebook group. You will be supported by the community as well as receiving feedback directly from me. Course content will include finding and using the best light, camera angles, focus, fun tricks to add interest to your images, photographing flat-lays, photographing loved ones and much, much more.

It doesn’t matter what camera you have! We won’t be going through the manual functions of DSLR’s or mirrorless cameras. We won’t be going through exposure theory. We will be taking amazing photographs with what you have and building on knowledge beyond the tool you’re using. If you wish to learn how to use your camera in manual mode or anything else beyond what we learn in this course, you can book a private online lesson with me here.

We all know how valuable images are. Whether you’re a business person looking to up your content game or a parent who would like to take better photos of your children, this course will deliver a fresh tip every weekday and a daily photo challenge that can be taken in the comfort of your own home.
